Hour of Slack #1805 – The Newest and Oldest in Slack

Half is brand new, half is ancient episode #76. We continue hearing clips of the recent Film School podcast with Sandy Boone and Dr. Philo Drummond being interviewed about the new SubGenius feature film. There are some hard-hitting new songs by bands both unfamiliar and very familiar, and the Internet version has a rather blistering and possibly highly offensive extra song added at the end. The angry young 1986 version of Stang delivers a quite cantankerous and strongly worded brag/attack, with hypocritical Christians as its main target, but SubGenius hypocrites as well. The classic G. Gordon Gordon rant “It’s Not Just The…” meets its female counterpart, as delivered by Sister Krys. There’s lots of Dr. Hal from so long ago that he was just Rev. Hal! Johnny Winter helps Stang celebrate his latest x-rays, which proved Stang’s not just a crybaby sissy, but comes by his bellyaching fair and square.
