Hour of Slack #1636 – Ask Dr. Hal The Musical

This episode features both the Ask Dr. Hal Show from the 20X-Day Drill and a lot of music both old and new — and a Rainmakers album, “Monster Movie,” which was done some years ago but is new to us. The show opens with a great Rainmakers song about conspiracy kooks, “Who’s At the Wheel,” followed by “The Dallas Cowboys, Jesus and Me” (classic Rudy Schwartz Project). Dr. Argus Faux and The Right Angles perform his song about the Church, “SubGenius,” and after some Ask Dr. Hal we hear another “new” Rainmakers song, “Monster Movie.” Xposed 4Heads follow more Dr. Hal asking with “Push Me.” After the last Hal answers we hear live instrumentals – The Right Angles from a Florida show and a medley by The Amino Acids recorded at 20X-Day. The show closes with yet another original new SubGenius song, “No Slack, No Hope” by Rev. Loveland of Artificial Telepathy. Also included is a recording of Rev. Stang’s last minute warning about the Eclipse and possible dangers from a test of The Beacon, from a live broadcast the day before.
