Freemasons in Morpeth have made a donation to the largest independent food bank in Northumberland.
Covid-19 has meant that many groups have been unable to meet for more than six months.
However, the Freemasons from Morpeth’s Lodge De Ogle have continued their work helping charities.
Most recently, the group has given a cheque for £150 to the Wansbeck Valley Food Bank in Morpeth, Northumberland.
The food bank is the largest independent food bank in Northumberland and it delivers food parcels to families in need in Ashington, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Morpeth, and the surrounding areas.
Dave Richardson, Lodge Charity Steward said: “When we found out about the amount of people the food bank was helping in our area it really made us think.
“We know that the food bank is committed to relieving food poverty in our local area and we wanted them to know that we are grateful for their hard work and dedication.”
